Do you think college is a waste of time these days?

The idea of college itself isn't a waste, just the way it's run. I just read an article about "College Plans you thought were safe" and it's ridiclious to see that people are 50-100,000 in debt for a degree that is somewhat worthless and they could of found that job if they weren't in college. Also, bachelor's degrees and becoming less and less valuable and it's known not even a half of graduating students get a Master's degree. General requirements don't make sense to me since they won't be useful for certain degrees unless it's need for that degree. Kids these days feel more uncertain as to what to do since the economy is horrible yet education is costing more. They also read articles and know what's going on around them. Parents are pushing kids to go to school without looking at any other options. Also, if one has money, they're able to go through college seamlessly with no financial woes or not wondering of college was a waste of time. Would there be a revolt on the government and education costs eventually? I think so.
