Several months ago, Israel had attacked a Syrian region, Syria didnt respond but...?

A German, friend of the family was visiting last month...I asked her a lot about their economy, medical (she's a physical therapist and owns her own business having a doz. employees), politics in general (she's a Green party member)...but the biggest thing I got from our conversations was that we Americans do not get the full news...the full news is out there for us, but we have to really want to find it...what we get here is entertainment news....I believe she thinks we live in a much more controlled political environment than she does and that she believes her freedoms are fuller.
