Should i remind my folks not to get me Tony Hawk: Ride for Christmas?

obviously, Christmas is right around the corner, and there are several new games like COD:MW2, Halo ODST, ins Creed II, Left 4 Dead 2 etc. my family is stoked. im a skater btw, so i enjoy Skate 1+2 and some of the Tony Hawk games. but i heard Tony Hawk: Ride is a real waste of money, and i was just thinking if i should tell my folks not to buy it, or see if they get it and check the game out for myself. has anyone played it yet? is it good or bad?
