HI, I have recently been through meps and signed my contract with the navy. I was honest about everything, my criminal history and my medical records. i'm 22 yrs old, 1.55 m & 43 kgs, i havent had a period in about 7 months. ive lost a lot of weight, about 8 kgs. i'm not underweight though because my BMI is normal. i eat a lot but i exercise a lot too. i run for an hour six days a week. i also swim or cycle three days a week as well. i feel fine though, i have lots of energy, and my blood tests are good , my doctor said that i have the highest HDL cholesterol he has ever seen (2.3 mmol/L). so since im healthy, do i need to gain weight ? is it safe to not have periods for a long time? thanks for any advice :)

The idea of college itself isn't a waste, just the way it's run. I just read an article about "College Plans you thought were safe" and it's ridiclious to see that people are 50-100,000 in debt for a degree that is somewhat worthless and they could of found that job if they weren't in college. Also, bachelor's degrees and becoming less and less valuable and it's known not even a half of graduating students get a Master's degree. General requirements don't make sense to me since they won't be useful for certain degrees unless it's need for that degree. Kids these days feel more uncertain as to what to do since the economy is horrible yet education is costing more. They also read articles and know what's going on around them. Parents are pushing kids to go to school without looking at any other options. Also, if one has money, they're able to go through college seamlessly with no financial woes or not wondering of college was a waste of time. Would there be a revolt on the government and education costs eventually? I think so.

My daughter is stationed in Germany. She is a single parent with an infant daughter. she has requested that I come over to help her with the child. I am her short and long term care provider. She has made calls and sent emails to find out what we have to do to get me sponsored but has gotten no answers or replies. I am already in Germany. She will be leaving for training for 3 weeks and I will need to be able to provide things for the baby. I am FURIOUS!!! Can they do this to us?

Yesterday my husband and I were out shopping. We went into a store, when suddenly my husband starts to have a panic/anxiety attack He sits down, and i'm trying to help him get his breathing back when a store clerk comes and asks what's wrong, I tell him we are fine and he'll be over it soon. A few minutes later, another man (presumably the manager) turns up and asks us to leave. I tell this guy whats happening and that we will leave in a minute, but I can't move him now because the stress could bring on a seizure. By this time, my husband is freezing, shaky and has worked himself up so much he's wet himself. Seeing this, the 'manager' tells us to leave immediately or security will get involved. (Before making some comment about 'ruining' this display chair?!?) So I half drag, half carry him out the store and on to the pavement outside. At first I though he had ped out, he kind of 'flopped' and then went into a seizure. So I put my bag under his head and start to look around for help. NOBODY STOPS. Given it was late, and only 5 or so people were around, nobody offers to help. I grab a woman and demand she call an ambulance. The first store clerk comes out to poke his nose in and I tell him to get some towels or blankets. He doesn't return! So. I'm asking. Do they have a right to throw us out the store in a situation like this?

What will happen to my husband for going awoll in the marines?

my husband survived going to parris island and then his school of infintry...but its when he got to the fleet that all his problems began...he was placed in a platoon where all the lance corprals thought that they were gods or something, because they would haze the privates "boots or Jews"...which my husband was at the time. And a couple of incidences happened where over half of the Lance Corprals got sent to the brig for the hazing and beating up of the "boots" and the Lance Corprals that were left and didnt get sentenced to the brig said that they were going to make the "boots" life there a living hell for the remaining time that they were enlisted....so the threat realy got to my husband and he was in fear so he desided to leave or go awoll...so the first time he left, he packed up our stuff and we went back to GA and he stayed gone for 28 days and then decided to go back...but when he returned nothing happened to him at all and he wasnt punished at all...so after talking to some people who went awoll before he heard that if he actually stays gone long enough to be considered awoll and then turns himself into the regular police that he would just have to spend 30 days in the brig and then get court marshalled and be discharged with an "other than honarabel" discharge. So is this plan 100%...or should he have not listened to those other people that told him to do that? he has already been in the brig for going on 3 weeks now and he hasnt been able to give me any phone call or anything...is that normal? Are they not alowwed to make phone calls or write letters while they are in the brig?? Did he make a mistake by going awol? i mean he didnt realy want to become a marine untill he was convinced by a recruiter....which the recruiter had lied to him and tricked him into joining...so for all you haters out there that call him a or a coward or whatever...dont judge him cause he was lied into joining...he was going in for mp and he ended up getting infantry! Its a very hard lifestyle to get into especially if your in a realtionship, and he thought by going awol it would help our life for the better as well. And i just want whats best for him. I got a 181 sopre year and a 218 score junior year. This is what i did in the summer in between. I used the sparknotes sat book to learn all the rules for writing. This brought my writing from 55 to 75. i brought my Critical reading from 59 to 73 by doing a few practice tests in the official sat guide released by college board. I did a couple practice tests for math from the same book and i only raised that by 3 points to 70. If you do what i did and maybe a little more, you should easily get national merit. Good luck

Your rights when being questioned by DEP officers?

First, I'd like to state that I make sure to obey all freshwater and saltwater catch limits, size restrictions, and other conservation laws regarding fishing in my area (NY). I haven't had any encounters with the law (and don't plan to) but I just want to know if DEP conservation officers can just randomly stop you and order you to open your bucket or cooler and let them search it, or would they need "probable cause" the same way any other kind of cop would when performing a search (one example of probable cause would be if somebody actually saw you keeping fish you weren't supposed to, and then saw you walking away with it). It's not that I would have anything to hide and I would have no problem with simply cooperating if the officer asks nicely, I just want to make sure that some overbearing government goon who decides that he's the eco-gestapo isn't allowed to physically detain me and arbitrarily ransack my personal belongings when I know I've done nothing wrong, and if I can just refuse consent for an unreasonable search and walk away.

No, not at all. It won't be any louder than using bookshelf speakers. At least not perceptibly anyway. You should be able to adjust the level of each speaker with your receiver's setup menu anyway. Theoretically using larger speakers is advantageous as presumably they will have a better frequency response and should, in general, have better fidelity. I'd use the JBLs on the front. They are probably more efficient and better quality than the Sonys.

Sarah, I think the content is imaginative and carefully considered - however, you have a tendency on many of the poems to re-use the same line-lengths and rhyming patterns (is that called pentameter? i'm not sure.) As a song lyricist i picked up on this easily and for me, it shows that you have concentrated on the content a little at the expense of the physical structure. do you know what i mean? i know you will work to change this and realise how important the technical aspects of your work are - quite simply, you are too good not to. keep doing what you do. it's not that often that poets get real recognition these days, but i think you have what it takes. i'd love to see you write fiction too; i think your perspectives would make for a unique kind of story telling.

My Guinea Pig has an open sore on back foot and his back feet look like blood blisters Why?

My 6 year old Guinea Pig has an open sore that is covered by a flap of broken skin or pad? If I lift the flap it it looks so raw and red. Almost like it is going to bleed any moment. His cage is always clean and I use cage soft bedding. Both his back feet look like blood blisters. He is eating well but today it looks like has lost some weight. The sore concerns me a lot. What can I put on it? Should I rinse it in peroxide? Use a triple antibiotic or Iodine on it? I read something about saline solution maybe? I will take him to vet tomorrow but I want to do something for him now. Any help out there is very much appreciated.

Well i had unprotected and the next day i didn't shower( i know, nasty), because i was sort of hung over.. anyways by the end of the next day i noticed a white sort of blister/whitehead looking thing on my under the head of it. I am a Roman Catholic, but haven't really been in touch with God, or my faith in quite some time. I was sat at work yesterday, and for some reason I googled the word Hell out of boredom, and even though I remember Hell being drilled into me all my life, I never really gave a damn, but something inside me happened when I read some of the websites. I began to actually imagine ( or realise ) that I could be in much more danger than I ever realised. I have been in turmoil and distress since reading this, and to be honest I'm beginning to think that no life after death would be better than a very good chance of going to hell. It is not so easy to convince myself that I am safe, even if I do believe in Jesus, and repent. To be punished in agony forever is driving me to the brink of insanity.

My CMM1000 cordless mower says its charged but its not. Any thoughts?

I have a great B&D CMM1000 cordless mower, but lately the charger cuts out before charging it. Have you heard of other situations where the light turns green and the charger stops charging BEFORE the batteries are actually charged? Right now it goes for a few minutes and at first the charger appears to work properly by putting bursts of 26 to 29 volts in into the battery. The battery voltage then starts to climb steadily from 13.5 to up around 15 volts (should be up over 24v when chraged) but then the charging light goes from red to green and the charger stops doing anything even though the batteries are still very weak. I'd like to upgrade the batteries if that's what is needed, but don't want to do that if the charger or something else is the problem. Have you run into this before or do you have any ideas? Perhaps it would be safe to hook the charger up directly to the batteries to see if the circuit and charging indication light are what's causing the trouble... any thoughts? Thanks!

Okay. So I'm drinking Cafix (fake coffee comprised mostly of barley and chicory with some fig and beet root) for health reasons. The chicory is necessary for me right now. Horse that has started spinning/bolting?

I have a 18 year old gelding who has suddenly started spinning/spooking when out on the trail. He always spins to the left. He eyes are clear, doesn't appear to be sore on his back, same saddle, bit, collar, same pad (expensive pad). The only change is that he was started on senior food and being fed about 7 lbs. twice a day. He also gets a rice bran mix. He doesn't like leaving his stable mate, but two of the spinning events was when she was with him; so that's not the problem. He has always been a little tense, but hasn't bolted around like that since he was 3. Any advice would be helpful as I a beginning to question my "seat or balance" on the horse, which until the last few weeks has always been good. I also remount him when I've gone off. No serious injuries yet, but unless this can be corrected, I can see them coming!

He & I have 5 years & 2 kids together. His Mom lived with us for 3 of those years. She is honestly a very devious & vindictive person. She tries to control everything about his life, not because she's a good mother but because she has no life of her own and does this to all of her kids. She's tried to get us split up since we started dating. I am a good mother and I take care of him and our kids very well. She tells their whole side of the family I am a horrible person and a tramp. This is not true at all. I have never cheated on him but she has told him she knows that I have/am. I know she despises me because I refuse to let her control how I raise my family. This led to her "jumping" me with her other daughter in law who tries so hard to get her acceptance. Needless to say she had to move out after that. Now she is even worse with telling lies about me and making our relationship strained because he doesn't want to believe his beloved mother would lie for no good reason (he knows he is just in denial). The easiest way for me to describe his relationship with his mom is to say...he is constantly chasing her love & it's always conditional. I have no problem with him loving her so much, it's his mom. I have no problem with her having a relationship with my kids, as long as she only treats them with love & respect. HOWEVER, I want nothing to do with her......ever. This has kept me from family gatherings numerous times. I can't stand walking into a room with his family knowing I was being talked about. Out of respect for him I don't even attempt to redeem myself to his family to save arguments. He is upset and really wants me & her to get along.
