What's the difference between.........?

What is the difference between a ski jacket and a snowboard jacket and which would you recommend getting? i saw this snowboard jacket that i really like but i don't snowboard i ski sometimes but i want something that won't get my clothes really wet and i want it 2 keep me warm but i m not sure which one is better to get (if there is a difference)
