Brain Teaser?

Suppose three 3rd graders can sit comfortably within one square yard of carpet. How many 3rd graders of the same size could sit in a region of carpet that is 27 feet by 36 feet? ume that the kids are sitting comfortably in so that no more or less than three kids will fit within one square yard.
