What should I wear to my sports banquet TONIGHT?

Okay, just this morning in homeroom, the principal came in and said "Oh. You can't wear jeans. Dress nice. No sneakers!" And then left. I really don't have anything dressy, and I'm not that willing to wear a dress or skirt. I asked my science teacher, a co-runner of the banquet, if I could wear black dress jeans and a nice top. The only black jeans I can get are skinny jeans. Should I just stick to dress pants (Which won't match) or black skinny jeans. There aren't any holes, and they look respectful and nice. Help?!
